Faraway Train

This song is about our tendancy as humans to pursue our sins and cling to our sinful nature and how God continues to call out to us and encourage us to keep moving forward through life, closer to Him. I used the train analogy to evoke a sense of being on a journey. I wanted people to see that the Christian life is a journey, and on the way to God we will travel through times of darkness and times of light. We will go over bridges and through tunnels, uphill and down. The song, “Faraway Train,” addresses the sin in our lives and reminds us that we are still children and servants of God. He loves us and will be there in our weakness, in our brokeness, and in our joy. Mary Swanson\’s Faraway Train on YouTube
