Web Update
Well,
Here we are in 2009…already half-way through! So, I’ve been traveling incognito these days it seems. Since I selfishly spent most of 2008 planning the wedding, I have neglected the site. I’ve been working on it here and there, but I finally made some significant updates within the last few days:
- No more guestbook. Sorry folks. I was getting spammed to death with that guestbook. So, I decided that it wasn’t worth the trouble. That leads me to my next update: Facebook.
- I’ve added facebook badges to the contact page. In place of posting on my guestbook, I would encourage people to find us on Facebook.
- I transferred the blog to Wordpress. Again, their was a spam issue with GoDaddy’s Quickblog, and I believe they are moving away from that anyway. So, I decided to transfer (copy/paste) all the entries to a Wordpress account. So, here we are. I did not, however, transfer the comments on entries…which is sad, but I can live with it.
- We added video to the site! Woohoo! So, check it out.
- I went ahead and posted some pics of shows we did in the last couple years. Enjoy.
- Oh yes, got some band history on the “about” page now including my band member bio’s. Since Charles hasn’t written his, I only have mine up.
- Also, if you missed it, Mary Swanson Music is now offering wedding soloist services, ceremony music, and reception and event music to the mix. Hey, we gotta pay the bills right? So, tell your friends and family. We are offering Christian and Christian-approved live music for weddings and events.
- Thanks to some wonderful friends, we have added some wedding music testimonials to the site. So, shout out to Mr. & Mrs. Eddy, Becca & Jonathan Edney, Robyn & Randy Hales, and Sarah & Dustin Anderson. Thanks for the props. You guys rock!
Well, again, I am up until the early morning hours. I need to get some sleep. I hope to see you around! Thanks for reading. God bless.
Mary
Hi Mary!
I’m glad to see the updates and will definitely stay tuned. I just think you are amazing at what you do and how you use the gifts God gave you! I hope you never stop.
